About Us
Muktisagar Prabodhan Kendra Uttan is the pastoral centre catering for Marathi speaking faithful of the archdiocese of Bombay. The centre was officially inaugurated by the late Cardinal Ivan Dias on 25th April 2002. The centre imparts various training programs particularly for the Laity, conducts retreats, formation programs, liturgical seminars, youth apostolic and marriage preparation courses in Marathi regularly. The basic Word Ministry course in Marathi, Bible diary (daily scripture readings and reflection), faith formation programs, bible quiz and other training activities are also initiated by the center. The institution also offers other programme like Open school for the drop outs, Summer Music class, Senior citizens meeting, prayer service and health awareness programme in collaboration with Hinduja Hospital.

Marriage Preparation Course
Mon. to Sat: 7.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. & 2.00 p.m. – 5.30 p.m. (Office will remain closed on all Sundays)
- People of all religion /faiths can participate in this workshop.
- Marriage Preparation Course are officially being recognized by the Archdiocese of Bombay on every 2nd SAT & SUN of the month for all the Marathi speaking.
- On Sunday i.e. the second day of the course, the participants must involve their parents in session, lunch would be provided after lunch the parents are free to go.
- These programmes are to be done for SIX MONTHS or more before the wedding to gain the best benefit from them.
- Participants have to be present for the whole course to be eligible for a certificate.
- The Check-In time is 7:30 a.m. while the course ends around 5.00 p.m. On Sundays it begins with the Eucharistic celebration.
- On the day of the marriage course, kindly come with basic details (Aadhar card, Pan card) and Catholic will have to get a copy of their baptism certificate.
